Thursday's first day of action in the Golden Chalice Matches played in San Patricio brought a major embarrassment for the Realm Team!  The International Team SWEPT the thursday foursomes matches 5-0!  Incredible!  Here are the results:

The Realm rallied in the morning fourball matches, winning 4 of 5 to close up the score to 4-6, but the internationals struck right back, winning the afternoon foursomes 4-1, to take once again a very comfortable 5-point lead at 10-5 overall.

International Team: 

Disbach         4-0-0 captain's pick came through in a big way 
Kepparketl      4-0-0 rookie was the biggest surprise this year, great job 
Burchard        4-0-0 more than lived up to high expectations 
Birch           4-1-0 solid play highlighted by great singles win 
Tahoma          4-1-0 one of most solid players for his team 
McFeeley        4-1-0 expected to do great things, important singles win 
Orford          3-1-1 good performance overall 
McGurk          3-2-0 did well in front of home crowds 
Sinclair        2-2-0 not quite pleased, but scored 2 for the team 
Ouesreche       2-2-0 performance comparable to last year 
Pennenton       1-3-0 other captain's pick, did not have that much impact 
DuBraal         0-3-0 the only international not to score a point 

Realm Team: 

Klagstein       2-2-0 Again one of the Realm's best in this format 
Seruca          2-2-0 rookie did well, tieing for the best record in team 
Sunilam         2-3-0 did not quite live up to last year's performance 
Siggis          2-3-0 captain's pick contributed well 
Oostingverde    2-3-0 came alive the last 2 days 
Nithz           1-2-1 average performance 
Youlduahe       1-2-0 not too bad for a rookie 
Von Chicken     1-3-0 like last year, not at his best 
Tay             1-4-0 big letdown contrary to expectations after last year's 3-0-0 
Rothies         1-4-0 the biggest disappointment on the Realm team 
Kluffen         1-4-0 was not on his game this week, should have been benched more 
Kalviack        0-3-0 rookie seemed caught in the headlights 

Next year, the Realm will be looking for revenge, as the competition will return to the 
Realm!
