Beobidhenhe, an Eastern Delgamian rookie, closed with a 6-under-par 65
for a 16-under total of 268. He earned $540,000 Christiana Crowns for
his first IGT title. 

''I limited the mistakes and kept myself in the game,'' Beobidhenhe
said. ''I kept it solid and kept focusing on what I was trying to do.
I'm just really happy.'' 

Bowdani's James Kilandra, who started the round with a one-stroke lead,
shot a 69 to finish second.  Masters Champion Rod Sinclair closed with a
67 to finish third at 270. 

Sinclair's fellow Whitlamite Brett Cartier birdied five straight holes
on the back nine for a 68. He tied for fourth at 271 with the best local
player, a previous winner this year on the IGT, Subhas Sunilam (69),
another Westermarcian, Han Hauzu (63) and little known Estontetsan
Asservado nusKorns (67). 

''Unfortunately I didn't play very well on the front nine,'' said
Sunilam who birdied three of his last seven holes. 

''I came back strong on the back nine, hit a lot of good shots and had a
couple of really good putts. I had a good chance.'' 

Defending champion Helyimar Gortsidler of Altland never really was in
the picture, and finished deep in the field of players. 

''I'm a little disappointed,'' Gortsidler said. ''I thought by the way I
was striking on the range, I'd have some good shots, be 6 or 7 under and
give myself a chance. I didn't play very well.'' 

Beobidhenhe's win is yet another in a series of first-time winners and
first-time winning nations on the IGT this year, a great sign as to how
competitive this fascinating tour has become!
