Von Toschamerton forced the playoff by making birdie on No. 18 after Galinheira parred the 522-yard par-5 at Royal Blauburg Golf Gardens to finish at 22-under 266.  Galinheira could have prolonged the playoff but his 12-footer to tie veered away from the hole. 

Von Toschamerton led after each of the first three rounds and came into the final round
with a three-shot advantage. But he made what was just his second bogey of the tournament on No. 8 and played the first 12 holes in 1-over par. 

"I wasn't playing my best, but I held it together," said Von Toschamerton, who won for the first time in his career on the IGT, yet another first-time winner this year. 

Galinheira, also vying for his first victory, began the day four strokes back but ripped
off four straight birdies starting on No. 10, then picked up his sixth on the 17th with
the help of a 9-iron to 2 feet. That gave him a 6-under 66 and a two-stroke lead at 22
under. 

But Von Toschamerton rebounded with birdies on Nos. 13 and 17, then two-putted from 70
feet for birdie on the 18th for a final-round 70 and a tie with Galinheira.

"I finally got the handcuffs off around 13," Finschammel said. 

On his third shot at the 18th in the playoff, the Deyoankan hit a sand wedge that landed
on the green and spun off into the front fringe. When Galinheira stuck his approach, a
pitching wedge that landed 12 feet from the cup, it looked like the Ordlander was set to
capture his first IGT win. 

But Von Toschamerton made his stunning birdie, pumping his fist as it hit the stick and
dropped in, and Galinheira missed his putt to tie. 

"You always have to think your opponent is going to make the shot," Galinheira said. "I
don't think it was so much of a shock." 

The $396,000 Christiana Crowns paycheck is the largest of Von Toschamerton's career.

Thobias Rothies, also still looking for his first win, shot a 68 Sunday and finished third with a total of 267, a shot behind the leaders. 

Territorian Steve Horsnell finished tied for fourth at 269, rounding out his excellent
year.
