Eastern Delgamia redeems itelf with good victory in Extremo!

Heavy criticism had rained down on the Eastern Delgamian team after their home
loss against San Patricio, unjustly, of course... so quickly, people forget the
fabulous performances that sensationally brought the tiny nation two bronze medals
in both, the 299 VexGames in Morania, and the Vexillium Cup WZ'99!  But today, the
critics got egg on their faces, as the Eastern Delgamian team was back to their
world-beater form and sailed to a clear victory in Extremo!  With this sort of
performance, there may be another medal in store for these guys at the upcoming
VexGames 300, only a short drive from today's venue of play, Liston!

Testodasertan, in excellent form once again, broke the ice early on in the game,
and from then on, it was mostly Eastern Delgamia playing.  The hosts, hoping to
achieve another good result like their respectable draw with San Patricio, showed
some signs of inexperience, especially when it came to being more dangerous in
front of their opponents' goal.  The final flow just wasn't there in Extramo's
offensive game - too many misunderstandings and dead plays, and even a merely
mediochre EDE goalie Impurrunhe (inexplicably on the field while international
superstar Pensodeque was benched) was never too compromised.

Captain Cinziento sealed the deal in the early second half with a nice goal from
long distance, giving the Delgamians a comfortable 2-0 win. Extremo tried to
launch a fourth-quarter push, but then the guest's class really became evident.
The home team could not score against Eastern Delgamia.  They are still scoreless
in international play.
