CAKEWALK FOR CHAKRAZIPANG!

The Serpents left very little doubt as to who was the master of this
match, making it all clear in the first half, without really trying too
hard.  Westermarc ran its second formation, with three players getting
their first start.  Kongren did not put up much of a struggle in the
first half, hardly ever possessing the leather, playing heavy defense,
and almost never crossing into their opponent's half.  In the second
half, the Geckos were a little more in the match, and scored a goal of
honor through a penalty converted by G'Rumman, but they never really
factored as an equal opponent in this match, as was more or less
expected.  Routine win for Westermarc.

NIOKOLO KOBA PREVAILS!

It took the Warriors some time, but they finally struck a decisive
one-two blow in the second half, only 4 minutes apart, against the Ras
Lanarchian Amateurs, who kept putting up feisty resistance.  Dukhlas
missed two great chances to put Ras Lanarch ahead in the first half, and
Leixnithz missed a penalty for Ras Lanarch, which would have closed the
gap to one, in the 77. minute.  Ultimately a deserved win for NK, who
were the overall better organized and conditioned team.

A MERE TEST MATCH FOR WESTRIA!

Lombriga tried to crack the tough nut of Westria though a
disconstructive style of play that included a lot of physical attacks,
but the Diamonds did not waver, and brought home a clear win even with
their second lineup... having anticipated the attacks from the Rams, who
had announced that they would stand up fighting.  Nevertheless, the
Lombrigans could not contain the superior team from Nuarmia, the
Westrians left little doubt and took a clear win.  Richard Spock
sustained a slight injury during the match, but should be fine for the
next match.

Group B Standings:

1. WES 1 0 0 3:0 +3 3
2. SNX 0 0 0 0:0  0 0

DEUCOLAND'S DAY!

Today, all went Deucoland's way.  The Gargoyles had already shown their
class in the first half, having fought out a 2-1 lead over the
conservative Oost-Otagoans, who were playing very cautiously, thus
keeping the game successfully close.  But the Desert Rats would lose
their edge with a red card for Floffe early in the second half, after
which their hitherto effective tactics were foiled, them being one man
short... Deucoland lived up to the occasion, and took full advantage,
eventually coming away with a clear 5-1 win that showcased some of the
considerable talent they have on their team.  It looks like Deucoland
has left the specters of the past behind them, and that they are finally
living up to their promise!

Group C Standings:

1. DEU 1 0 0 5:1 +4 3
2. SCK 0 0 0 0:0  0 0
3. OOO 0 0 1 1:5 -4 0

SHAKY START FOR THE HOSTS!

Home team Kalesthesia had all their hands full with this Baben Bay team
- the guests played with their happy-go-lucky unimpressed style which is
quickly becoming their trademark - Coach Thorstens' philosophy of "there
is no team out there that we can't play with" once again showed in the
confidence of his disciples, much similar to the 0-1 against Westria
weeks ago.  Kalesthesia also suffered from the early injury exit by
their defensive stalwart Horst Correin.  The home crowds grew
increasingly nerveous as the match remained scoreless until late in the
second half, with Baben Bay coming close to scoring several times.
Deliverance finally came though national darling Christian Qarza, who
once again saved the day with a nice goal in the 80. minute, a one-goal
lead which his team was able to defend until the end, even though the
Sentries kept pushing for the equalizer.  Kalesthesia 1-0.

Group D Standings:

1. KAL 1 0 0 1:0 +1 3
2. WOO 0 0 0 0:0  0 0
3. BOB 0 0 1 0:1 -1 0
