Match commentary:

Armatirion easily coasts to another 3-0 win to win the group!

Armatirion never looked in danger, and in fact it seemed that about 80%
were still enough for this clear win over Bowdani, who did not have
their best day anyways.  A double-strike by Cunliffe comfortably brought
ARM into the lead, and they never looked back.  Addition Hart, at the
side of Cunliffe, who was taken off for safety reasons in the 60.
minute, has a great game as well, scoring the final goal for ARM.

Bowdani could not impress against this vastly superior opponent, and
quietly exits the cup after this their only game played in Christiana.

Match commentary:

Islandia's gamble with lineup ends in win for Lexicon!

This game had a good bit of hype about it as well - Islandia and
Lexicon, after all are big regional rivals, and this was the first time
they met in international competition!

Islandia somewhat experimented with their lineup, since the group
qualification was already secured, and unfortunately, it was the
mistakes of some of the 'irregular' players that eventually made the win
possible for a mostly solid Lexicon team.  Both teams were essentially
very equally matched, and well-prepared, however, Islandia suffered more
from mistakes:

Defender Saemundsson committed a critical error shortly before the
break, that allowed Filentoz to score.  So shortly before the break,
this was a huge psychological advantage for Lexicon as they returned for
second half action.  Another defender, Thorarinsson, was responsible for
a penalty given to Lexicon in the 59. minute, as Eckin was fouled
clearly inside the penalty zone, somewhat unnecessarily, as it did not
really look that threatening to warrant a foul.  Dibris converted
easily.

Meanwhile, Olafsson had missed two great chances in the offensive, as he
blatantly pulled the ball over, and then left of the goal from close
range.  Perhaps it was the nerves!  In any event, both, Saemundsson and
Olafsson were taken out, after the 2-0 through Dibris' penalty shot.

Islandia then was back to its old self, actually clearly controlling the
game from then on.  Petursson was fresh, and amazed several times.
However, the ultimate luck of execution was missing for the Penguins
today, and instead, Lexicon completed their triumph with another goal by
Dibris in the 70. minute, after which they held on to win, without
Islandia scoring at all.

Islandia now must indeed face Armatirion.  However, Phenixia is no
picnic for Lexicon either in the next round!
